Keep a path from a result back to the source that supported it.
What provenance should preserve
A business concept can have several source representations: Salesforce.Account, ERP.CustomerMaster and a contract party field. The intended ontology preserves those mappings so shared understanding remains traceable.
Evidence available now

Read evidence carefully
For record checks, the evidence includes generated comparison findings and a purchase-order summary; open the original files to inspect all records. For source search, the excerpts are exact matching passages.
Source names, timestamps and excerpts do not amount to full entity lineage. Automatic mapping history and source-system audit trails are not currently captured.
Prior versions remain inspectable
Replacing a source changes the current context. It does not change a saved result’s evidence reference. Only the owning account can download that source through its evidence link.
